| §1. Headis-Ball |
| The HEADIS ball is 7" inches, weights about 100 gr. It's made out of rubber and has special bouncing qualities. |
| §2. Points/Sets |
| A set is played up to 11 points. You have to be 2 points ahead of your opponent to win the set. A match is played at best of three sets |
| §3. Service |
| The service must be first on your own side, then touch the opponent's half of the table. The indication field of table tennis does not matter. Both contacting net edges and the plate edges on the opponent's field are repeated. An error in the execution leads to a point for the opponent. |
| §4. Volley header |
| Volleys are allowed. After a volley is executed the player needs to touch the ground with any of his body parts before he hits the ball again. |
| §5. 1st Service |
| The right to serve is played out and replaced respectively by three points. At a score of 10:10 the right to serve is replaced every two points. |
| §6. Table/Body Contact |
| The players are allowed to touch the table with all of their body parts (The point is lost if you hit the ball with another part of the body except the head). |
| §7. Fairplay |
| Sportsmanship comes first. In case of an unclear situation a repeat ball is to be played. |
| §8. Group-Stage/KO-Stage |
| In the knockout phase, only the best athletes come from the group stages, then play inthe knock-out mode, the winner of each tournament. In the same game and set difference, then counts the points difference. Although the points difference is equal, then counts the number of the won sets. If this is also the same, a deciding set is played to the placement. A game for third place is also always played in the knockout stages. |
| §9. Men/Women |
| The same game rules for men and women. The loosers of the group stage get by women events always 2 Points x Tournament Stars. |
| §10. Headis Masters |
| The annual Headis Masters tournament at the end of the year is determined from the total ranking of the top 18 players. The tournament will not count in the standings. |
| §11. Headis World Cup |
| The Headis World Championships will be played with a qualification round on 2 days. The qualification round will be played in group mode. All finalists will get World Cup points. The world champion is determined in knockout mode. The World Cup is the only 5 star tournament. |
| §12. Wildcards |
| In several tournaments you can win wildcards which permit to play the headis world championships. |
| §13. Registrations Fee |
| Only after receiving the registration fees for the respective World Cup tournaments and paying the confirmation from the organizers for the player who is officially entitled to take partin the tournament |
